Being a fashion blogger can be a tedious task. From replying to emails, keeping up with post schedules, photo shoots, to business meetings. There are so many things we must complete in just 24 hours. So whenever I come across a new gadget that helps me get these things done, I am all for it. Recently I received the Moto 360 smart watch and after giving it a spin, I have fallen completely in love. It is definitely a watch of our times. The Moto 360 seems like the first “Smart Watch”. Simply because other smart watches I’ve seen tend to be just a screen on your wrist. However, the Moto 360 is an actual watch and so much more. It is the fast, stylish and most discreet solution to obtaining information on-the-go.
One the the first things I like to do in the morning is go for a quick run. If your like me and like to keep track of your fitness activity and progress, then you will love features like Health Tracker and Runkeeper. Health tracker keeps track of distance covered, steps taken, heart rate, heart activity, calories burned, plus personal training and goal targeting. After my run, I usually make my way back home to freshen up, have breakfast and check emails and task to complete for the day. Then I am off to my first meeting. Often being that I don’t drive and I am really terrible with directions. The Lyft app and navigation features have become two of the most used features. All I have to do is say “Okay Google, call a car” and I am out the door. While using the Moto 360, I often forgot my phone because I would check emails and tasks directly on the watch and head on out the door. In fact, since using the Moto 360, I don’t really notice my smartphone that much anymore.
The Moto 360 isn’t some gadget that Motorola has come up with. It is a timepiece. A wrist watch that comes in a few different styles to suit your lifestyle. The stainless steel shell comes in black or silver with various wristbands in grey or black leather as well as gold or silver metal slim wristbands or silver or dark metal wristbands. Which is why the Moto 360 is the most stylish smart watch to date.
During the day, I don’t often get to check social media, so receiving notifications from some of my favorite apps like Pinterest, Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp conveniently on my wrist keeps me in the know. I also love the voice controls. It not only has made the watch easier to use, but it has made it pretty fun to use as well. You can reply and send text messages, Google things, check weather etc. All by the sound of your voice. When bouncing from meetings to photos hoots and events, the voice control comes in handy – especially when I need those quick directions to my next location.
While there were many smart watches on the market before the Moto 360, this watch has evolved to meet our ever-changing wants and needs – the real demands of our lives in 2014. With its stylish good looks, comfortable feel, overall premium build, and endless features, the Moto 360 is the Android Wear watch to beat.
